M&S Food Industries and WellB Food & Beverage Trading Recognised at SIAL Innovation Awards 2025

M&S Food Industries Sdn Bhd and WellB Food & Beverage Trading Sdn Bhd, members of the Malaysia Business Group, were the top 11 finalists of the SIAL Innovation Awards at this year’s Food & Drinks Malaysia (FDM) exhibition. Their products, M&S Coconut Whip and Cocokami Fried Coconut Strips, were recognised and selected for their quality and innovation.
The SIAL Innovation Awards is one of the main highlights of FDM, where the most innovative food and beverage products are evaluated by a jury of industry experts based on criteria such as innovative character, consumer benefit, market differentiation, and feasibility and commercial potential. For selected exhibitors, this recognition significantly enhances brand visibility and positions their products among the industry’s elite.

M&S Food Industries Sdn Bhd is one of the leading coconut food product suppliers in Malaysia, and is dedicated to producing quality coconut-based products. Their M&S Coconut Whip is Malaysia’s first locally manufactured coconut whip, offering a plant-based and healthier alternative to traditional dairy cream. Made from fresh coconuts, M&S’s rich and creamy coconut whip is suitable for use in a variety of desserts, drinks, soups, and more. The product contains no preservatives, flavourings and colourings, and is free from cholesterol and trans-fat.

WellB Food & Beverage Trading Sdn Bhd is a coconut company specialising in plant-based coconut meat, HPP coconut water, and healthy desserts. Their featured product, Cocokami Fried Coconut Strips, is a frozen plant-based meat alternative made from real coconut flesh. This tasty and healthy product can be easily fried and prepared in minutes, and can be enjoyed as a snack or added to various dishes. It is also rich in dietary fibre and potassium, and contains no additives, added sugar, and preservatives.
Held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from 1 to 3 July 2025, FDM is an international trade event that serves as a key platform for industry professionals to network, forge partnerships, and explore emerging trends in the food and beverage sector. It acts as a strategic entry point into Southeast Asian markets and beyond, offering exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their innovations to a global audience.
The 2025 edition of FDM hosted over 500 exhibitors from 70 countries, generating an estimated trade value of USD 300 million. The event featured a diverse selection of food and beverage innovations across eight segments, which includes food and beverage, Halal, spices and condiments, alternative proteins, packaging and processing, seafood and fisheries, snacks and confectioneries, and Salon du Chocolat.
