In 2021, Malaysia’s Trade Reached a New Milestone, Breaching RM2 Trillion (RM2.227 Trillion), Expanded by 24.8% from 2020

Exports grew by 26% (RM1.24 trillion), achieving 99% of RMKe-12 projection for 2025. Imports rose by 23.3% (RM987.24 billion). Trade surplus increased by 37.7% (RM252.56 billion), representing 24th consecutive year of surplus. Trade, exports, imports and trade surplus registered a new record high.
