The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) is the world’s largest halal trade exhibition, serving as a key gateway for businesses to penetrate the global halal market. Since its inception in 2004, MIHAS has leveraged Malaysia’s position as the world’s foremost halal economy to bridge international trade. Over the years, the event has successfully connected more than 50,000 visitors from over 100 countries on a single platform.

The theme for MIHAS 2026, “Shaping Trust, Building Resilience,” highlights the event’s commitment to strengthening trust, governance, and measurable outcomes. It aims to position MIHAS as a high-integrity platform where global buyers and exporters can engage with confidence. This year, MIHAS is targeting over RM4.3 billion in trade and is expecting to host over 1,700 booths and 40,000 trade visitors from around the world.

The showcase will feature fourteen strategic clusters representing key sectors within the modern halal economy. These include food and beverage, Halal ingredients, modest fashion and lifestyle, media and recreation, e-commerce, Islamic finance and fintech, education, cosmetics and personal care, retail and franchise, Muslim-friendly hospitality and tourism, food technology and packaging, services and enablers, pharmaceuticals and medicals, and Islamic arts and crafts.

The key highlights of MIHAS are the Women in Export (WiEX) Forum, Knowledge Hub, Pocket Talk, International Sourcing Programme (INSP), and MIHAS Kitchen. The Women in Export Forum is designed to accelerate Malaysian women-owned businesses into international markets. Meanwhile, the Knowledge Hub offers opportunities to connect with premium buyers and gain insights from successful industry players. Pocket Talk provides a platform for businesses to present their products to an international audience, while the INSP facilitates business matching between local companies and global buyers. Lastly, the MIHAS Kitchen will feature live cooking demonstrations, showcase the integration of food technology, and connect global buyers with trusted suppliers through interactive tastings and product showcases.
